Atlanta, the top-ranked older trotter in North America, is the 3-1 morning-line favorite in the $1 million International Trot on Saturday afternoon at Yonkers Raceway.

The 4-year-old mare, who will be representing the United States, drew post position 3 and leads the field of 10 globe trotters from nine different countries.

“It’s a good spot for her,” said Atlanta’s trainer, Ron Burke. “She seems to be a pretty versatile horse, so she can let the race come to her instead of having to make the race from the outside.”

Guardian Angel AS, also representing the U.S., drew post 9 and is the 4-1 second choice, while Sweden’s Cruzado Dela Noche (post 7), who won the 2018 edition of the International, is 8-1.

Post time for the 41st edition of the International Trot is 3 p.m.
