An upstate coronavirus patient who tested positive Wednesday may have been infected and contagious on a flight from JFK Airport to Rochester on Saturday, health officials said.
The passenger was on Delta Flight 4824, which departed at 4:05 p.m. and landed at Greater Rochester International Airport at 5:55 p.m., according to the Monroe County Department of Public Health.
The county health department said they “believe this individual was contagious” while aboard the plane.
It’s unclear if the patient is hospitalized or what their condition is, but they went into isolation after landing Saturday.
The patient’s “household contacts” are also under self-quarantine.
The Monroe County Department of Public Health urged anybody who was at ROC airport between 5:45 and 6:45 p.m. Saturday to closely monitor for coronavirus symptoms.
