Marcus Morris was ejected from the Knicks’ first preseason game Monday night in Washington after bouncing the ball off Justin Anderson’s head in the third quarter.
Anderson was locked in defensively on Morris, when the newly minted Knick pulled off the bizarre move. He swung his arms — elbows out — in front of Anderson’s face while holding the ball. The next time around, he brought the ball down hard and hit the Wizards’ forward in head. The two had to be separated afterward.
Morris was charged with a Flagrant 2 foul, and was seen smiling and giving Knicks fans fist-bumps as he exited the floor.
It was quite the first impression for the feisty Morris, who signed a one-year, $15 million contract with the Knicks this summer after ditching an agreement with the Spurs.
Morris started at small forward over Kevin Knox, and had 17 points, seven rebounds and two assists in 19 minutes.
