Police are investigating a series of alleged assaults at a UK nursing home — including against a World War II veteran who was left with a skull fracture, according to report.
The probe was launched after 95-year-old Vera Harman suffered the disturbing injuries at the Croxley House in Hertfordshire, the Daily Mail reported.
Harman — who served in the Women’s Royal Navy Service — was brought to the hospital May 2 with a skull fracture and broken bone in her neck, according to the report.
Police said no suspects have been identified, but two other victims from the senior home have since come forward with assault allegations.
“I can confirm that we are carrying out inquiries into two further allegations of assault at the property in Croxley Green,” a Hertfordshire Police spokesperson told the outlet.
The senior home issued a statement, saying “We take all safeguarding allegations seriously and have rigorous processes in place to deal with them.”
