A robbery suspect who slipped out of NYPD custody in Brooklyn while handcuffed is still at large, police said Tuesday.
The suspect, 20-year-old Tyquan Ellison, broke free from officers who were walking him into Brooklyn Central Booking in Downtown Brooklyn shortly after 11 a.m. on Monday, cops said.
The NYPD said Ellison was apprehended a short time later, but admitted on Tuesday that the suspect was actually still at large.
Ellison’s hands were cuffed in front of him when he made his dash for freedom, law-enforcement sources said.
The escapee stands at about 5 feet and 11 inches tall and weighs 170 pounds, cops said.
He was last seen wearing an olive green track jacket with red stripes, light blue jeans, and black sneakers.
