A teenager has been arrested and charged for his alleged involvement in a joyride that resulted in the tragic death of a 13-year old boy in Morningside Heights, cops said Monday.

The two teens were cruising down 116th Street in a stolen Nissan Pathfinder around 6 p.m. Saturday when cops spotted them running a red light as they turned left onto Morningside Avenue, police said.

When cops tried to pull over the teens, both jumped out of the moving SUV, which slammed into a parked Ford Fiesta and left 13-year-old Dejuan Wynn pinned between two cars, cops said.

Wynn was pronounced dead by EMS at the scene of the accident, police said.

The 15-year-old driver, who remains unidentified, was taken to Mount Sinai Saint Luke’s Hospital and was charged with grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property and unauthorized use of a vehicle, cops said.
