Tom Brady sure seems thrilled to have Gronk by his side again.
A couple hours after it was reported the Patriots were trading the formerly retired Rob Gronkowski to Brady’s Buccaneers, the six-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback posted a photo of himself to his Instagram story along with the an image of himself grinning, alongside a GIF of actor Jonah Hill screaming in excitement.
The Patriots dealt Gronkowski, who had one year left at $10 million on his Patriots contract, and a seventh-round pick to the Buccaneers in exchange for a fourth-round pick.
Reports indicated Gronkowski, who spent his year away from football in the WWE spotlight and hosting Super Bowl parties, only would return to the NFL if he could reunite with Brady.
The pair won three Super Bowls together in New England, but the offense floundered last season without Gronk as the focal point.
When Brady signed a two-year, $50 million fully guaranteed contract with Tampa earlier this offseason, it became Bucs-or-bust for Gronkowski, and this week his wish was granted.
