Where will Tua Tagovailoa fall during Thursday night’s NFL Draft 2020? Perhaps with the Dolphins at No. 5.
The 6-foot-1, 218-pound quarterback has long been tied to Miami, becoming an integral part of the fan base’s unofficial “Tank for Tua” catchphrase last season. The quarterback’s draft stock took a hit in November after sustaining a hip injury in what would become his final game for Alabama.
Tagovailoa’s former coach, Nick Saban, has already issued a warning to coaches not to make the same mistake he did years prior, passing on Drew Brees during his time with the Dolphins in 2006.
“The sky’s the limit [with Tagovailoa]. I don’t think any of the questions with Tua have to do with his ability to throw the ball and be effective,” Saban previously told the Wall Street Journal.
Despite Saban’s endorsement, it’s been speculated Tagovailoa is in for a long night ahead. No matter the outcome, however, his football fate is expected to be revealed soon enough.
