Elliot and Natalie Bergman of the band Wild Belle canceled an upcoming appearance at Radio City Music hall after the brother and sister performing duo learned their father had been killed in a car accident.
Judson Bergman, 62, and his wife, the siblings’ stepmom Mary, 57, were both killed when the taxi they were riding in was struck by an alleged drunken driver in San Francisco, the Daily Mail reported.
“Due to unforeseen circumstance Wild Belle will not be performing at tonight’s Radio City Music Hall show with Incubus. We’ll pass along more info regarding the rest of the tour as soon as we have it,” the band said in a tweet.
“With apologies, Wild Belle are unable to join Incubus on their current tour as planned. They’d like to thank Incubus, everyone involved with the tour, and the fans for their love and support.”
The crash took place only minutes after police received reports of a car driving in the wrong direction on Highway 101, the tabloid reported.
The elder Bergman had been a successful financial entrepreneur, serving as CEO of Envestnet Incorporated, a company he founded in 1999.
The alleged drunk driver, identified as 34-year-old Emilie Ross, and taxi driver Berkant Ramadan Ahmed, 42, were also killed in the accident Thursday.
